Default Why is it so difficult......

....to get normal, basic items here?
I've been trying to get exhaust repair paste....and I've been into garages, accessory shops etc and they're all totally bewildered.
You'd think I'm asking for some cutting edge, space age gadget or something.....but no, just exhaust paste. Been around for donkey's years and used worldwide....except in Spain.
Hell....if these people could just get as far as the 1960's I may be able to get by!

I used some a couple of years ago, think I got it at Carrefour, its in a grey tube and a waste of time unless its for a joint.
Just looked in the draw and found the tube, its made by Pattex and called Nural 30, temp up to 850 C.

That's a good idea JDR....cos I've got a couple of small holes in the collector box on the bike where the downpipes go in. Probably due to salt on Brit roads.
And the collector box doesn't get as hot as the downpipes so it may do the job.

And then they saddle you with Mitzy as a co-moderator jdr....talking about kicking a man when he's down!

Anyway, just rode down to Baza.....a larger town about 40 miles away. It's a bit like an inland Torrevieja, but unlike Torre the Brit's tattoos are spelt correctly!

And I found a back street motor spares place which actually had exhaust cement! And UHT paint!

A shop in Spain that actually had stuff to sell? I must be dreaming it!

He`s alright as long as you keep him with a full glass. ;-))

You always get the stuff from unexpected places, tried 3 lawnmower repaiers for a drivebelt, but got it in30 seconds from a car parts dealer. ???
