My opinion is my opinion. I base it on observations made over many decades.
For every decent, true christian, I have come across dozens of nasty ones. If not more. That's a straight observation. Of course, since you don't like it, you accuse it of being biased. Why don't you try proving that it is biased?
and they have a misguided sense of self-importance.People can be Christian if they want, but kids should not be made to sing hymns or say prayers (that is brain washing) and they certainly should be allowed to learn things like evolution which the crazy US fundamentalists have banned or made teachers teach "Intelligent Design" next to it.
There is only one word for that kind of behaviour - "backward"

I have finally read it from beginning to end, Im amazed how one persons Faith can become the target for all of religions failings. If the news was filled with every "Peado" event that took place you would see how small an issue having some misguided priests is. Pedophiles are in every walk of life and because of their heinous nature they are good at wheedling their way in to positions that allow them to abuse. Tagging is a good option and treatment as well.
Attacking someones faith is a fools errand, You need to talk to their god to get the right answers.

Plus it's interesting to see if they can address the elephants in the room.
Paedo priests is not a small issue. It would be if the church dealt with it properly.
If they said to such a priest, "We recognise you have a problem, that you are ill. You now have a choice. Either we hand you over to the police now, or you go permanently into a closed religious order wher you will never be allowed near anyone under the age of 25."
Instead, the whole church, right to the man at the top conspire to aid and abet these priests, to pander for them as they move them from parish to parish, and finally to threaten most severely anyone who dares to inform on them.
That isn't a couple of bad apples, it's a rotten barrel.

Whether Christians are nice or nasty is not the point. I personally dont think they are any more nice or nasty than anyone else, but I do think they are dumber and more conceited "Oh I'd better do this because God will like me for it" and they have a misguided sense of self-importance.

It only takes one to correct it, If there are two names in [Commutators] then one set of them needs removing. It all went wrong/started in Scampi's post at 79 which you then quoted at 86.
