I'm afraid thats a situation that will never happen, I have been told from up high.... but to be honest I've never wanted to be one, but it really winds up some posters to think I might have been one once!!!

Were I politically inclined, I'd go for starting a grey party, for pensioners (were I also a couple of years older).
With the baby boomers moving to collect their pensions any day soon, there's real power there.

They would replace the ones that die. This reminds me of a little story about a little old lady in a small village in Galicia, when Spain was changing to the euro.
She was a bit worried about being able to adapt to the new currency, and said, " it would be better if the government waited until all the old people had died before we change over to the euro."

Pensioners will come to control a fair old slice of financial reserves, - think of all that pension money, and their numbers will be going up for quite some time. That's a lote of votes.

Roll on pensioner power,..bring it on.
No doubt a certain Mr Brown has already learnt his lesson early, though probably too late in the day to save his bacon, from Rochdales,Gillian Duffy.

Of course the party would have a future, because more people would become pensioners with every passing year.
They would replace the ones that die.
