Where to move to?
We have owned a small house south of Torrevieja for a number of years. We are now both retired and paln to spend a lot more time in Spain, so are looking to move. We would like to be within a bus ride of Benidorm. Far enough out, but near enough to enjoy when we want to. Can any one recommend any areas/towns. We would like a small villa with private outside space so we can have some privacy, but would like to be in a community of ex pats so we don't feel isolated. Our budget will be limited - probably no more than 180k/200k. Look forward to any suggestions.

Re: Where to move to?
As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Re: Where to move to?
There are lots of small villages and urbanisations inland from Benidorm. I have visited most, but no idea about which are best served by buses.
Last time in Benidorm, we stayed here http://"http://www.venere.com/hotels...-la-estacion/"
It is very good value and adjacent to the bus station which has excellent links far and near. You might want to book in there for a few nights, get a bus time table and see where on the bus routes meets your requirements.

Re: Where to move to?
Thanks for suggestions. We will be back in Spain in July. We will spend a day or 2 looking around the area. I have looked on google maps and done a bit of research on areas around Benidorm. I looked at Albir and thought it looked quite nice. What is La Nucia like? We drove down the man road - the one with the round abouts - and we both thought it looked a nice area and very clean. We also thought about Finestrat. Do you have any opinions about these 2 areas.

There are quite a few brits living in Finestrat, so could be a good choice for you to meet.
