I'm trying hard to participate on this forum (rather than just reading).......and both threads I've participated in today are now closed. :unsure:

If somebody could direct me to a thread that will last the day out I'd be much obliged! :confused:

I dont come on here often cos of all this, maybe try another forum, I moderate on a couple and fortunately they´re not as aggresive. I wont advertise them cos thats "not cricket"

It's unfortunate, but that happens from time to time, especially with a large forum this size.

You are quite welcome to start a new thread if the one you previously participated in was closed. Closing a thread generally only happens when we have a couple of people who get into a disagreement on a thread which unfortunately ruins it for other people. Its better in those instances if the people concerned were courteous to other members and put each other on ignore or at least should take their disagreements to pm's so the rest of us don't have to put up. ;)

No it isnt Sue, you´re right and that wasnt/isnt my intention. I was hoping to add water to it and put the fire out LOL. So I apologise if I´ve contributed to any animosity

This forum is a very good forum.

OP - You can post wherever you like - it is not all negative.

I joined cos we were thinking of coming over to live last year. Got lots of good advice at the time and due to most of it, (lots of positive as well as negative) we decided not to come. It was VERY good advice as it turns out with the global credit crunch and all - we would have ended up on our uppers with two young children in tow.

There are lots of laughs on here - and lots of trolls and halfwits and liars. But it`s all good. Go with the flow, enjoy the good and let the shit whoosh above your head.

I have made a lot of personal friends because of this forum so for me good has come from it.

I get bollocked along with the rest of them at times - fair dos - I couldn`t to `their` job.

I AM a member of another forum but it is very different to this - they are like chalk and cheese - and I like them both very much.

Sue and the guys have a tough job - we all have different opinions and ideas and I`m no angel.

It's just that I'd got some info for the donkey people and the discussion was somehow going on in two threads.
The first one got closed, and as soon as I went on the second one that got closed as well.

That's what I love about the internet, there is so much exciting stuff out there, lots and lots of interesting sites, and lots and lots of forums each with a different culture and vibe. So we get to interact with people from all over the place in different enviromnments, it's great.

I just checked back and it appears they wanted their accounts deleted Sue.....so I'm not sure if that's possible now.

Thank you UM - i will pass that information onto them as ive been in touch with them both to see if they are ok - they seem really nice genuine people who are really shocked and upset at how people have reacted to them - but thank you for that - im sure they will really appreciate it :wub:

The 'German car into Spain' thread seems to be safe at the moment, can't really fall out over that? Seriously, when the temperatures hit the forties, the grandchildren are splashing about in the pool, the place is full of noisy Madrinelos, drunks are singing My Way on the Karaoke machines, the Guardia Civil are fining everyone for anything, and the air conditioning breaks down; how can you blame people for getting the hump and posting nasty posts?

And age doesn't mean wisdom, nor tranquillity, and after a few canas (sorry about the missing tilde), people fall out. It's natural.

I hadn`t a clue what`s been going on over the last few days but I`ve now been on catch-up which explains a lot.

I still stand by what I said to you and to Sue on here last night - and I reiterated it in a pm to her afterwards. She has a hard job on here and the forum is and can be good. The Mods are fighting a losing battle at the moment - there have been a couple of new ones recently and they are still finding their feet. Everyone has their own style.

As for the posters being dscussed,one or two thought the husband and wife team had been here in a past life ........ pm me please! ..but as I read it all they seemed ok to me.

Painters - if you are still reading the pages then please post again - just put the people that you don`t like on ignore - then their posts will not show up for you.

This Forum can be good - it has waylaid somewhat in Spain, but other regions seem to be ok.

Everyone, if you want to be `Top Dog` then go in The Lounge or TIO-he who shouts loudest will be heard - you will love it!!!!

Sorry, but it's funny that the donkey's thread is still perpetuating. The OP asked where he could post without his posts disappearing the same day, which was explained by the moderators, perfectly, silly arguments by long term contributors, who may have fallen out 10,000 posts ago, are deleted because they are 10,000 posts out of date, and no longer relevant.

The new members, like me, are not bothered about some silly dispute going back over the years, we want discussions about today and tomorrow, but will respect older members, as long as they are sensible.
