Re: whats the average yearly salary
Perhaps they way they do in Britain, by living on credit ?? I know just two people who aren't living with their credit cards , and one of them is my sister who is married to a Scot. I even have friends worrying that their total pension will be a measly £40,000 a year !!!!!! I felt like clobbering them......

Re: whats the average yearly salary
Re the discrepancy between the average salary being 12,000 v 20,000 euros.
Don´t forget that in the UK people always tend to refer to the GROSS salary, whereas in Spain people always state their NET salary. A net average salary of about 1000 - 1200 euros a month sounds realistic to me. There are FOURTEEN months in a Spanish year (extra pay day in summer and at christmas), thereby making that annual net income 14,000 - 16,400 euros. Add on the tax and it won´t be too far from leighblokes figure of 20,000 euros. Keith |

Re: whats the average yearly salary
Yes I was refering to gross income - so it would seem we have all been in violent agreement from the start?

Somebody posted on here a few weeks ago about an article that appeared in El Pais about the so called 'Mileuristas' - the educated people who are earning less than 1000 € a month. Here's the article: http://www.barcelonareporter.com/ind...d_mileuristas/ We don't pay anyone over a 1000 € because we simply couldn't afford to do it. This is the problem for small companies. What annoys many, though, is the big multi-nationals who have huge profits but don't pay staff well. |

Violent agreement is when people believe their views to be at odds with each other, and then realise they were in fact saying the same thing all along. My post was a way of saying "there you go, we were all right" I felt I needed to do this after Vox Populia called me a bullshitter. So in future when you want to get your soapbox out to lecture people, at least consider targetting your comments at those who deserve it. |

So what did it look like up there? and how was the smell??? :) Apology accepted. VP I know my posts are useful, thats why I spend my time giving them!! I exagerated your "rubbish" comment to get pjj off my case and onto yours - I thought you were getting off lightly!!!! a :) for you too. Back on topic for a minute, so is the gross annual salary around the 20k mark (13k take home) or was I wrong? It's just I was scared my pension of 40k euro might not stretch to the daily lunch of Cristal cuvee & caviar I'd hoped? |
