What a beautiful day...

Its nice you're happy where you are and have found your place in the world! I wish I could have felt like that about the UK, it would have saved me and my family a lot of disruption, money and hassle. But I love Spain and after my 10 day christmas in the UK with all those things you´ve mentioned in your posts, I´m so glad to be back in Spain - that said I do miss my older children, the central heating and carpets - I just dont miss them as much as I miss all the wonderful things that I have here in Spain - horses for courses I guess and maybe when I've been here longer, I'll get fed up with it too and want to live in the UK again????!!! I cant see that happening anytime soon tho and so for now, its nice to visit, but better to get back here!

Always remember. No place is perfect, but some are more perfect than others.
Also, sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side.

Come March, if not before, we will be breakfasting on the terrace under a blue, clear sky, with the day ahead of us like an unwrapped present.
If anything approaches perfection, that does.

It's a big part of why I wanted to go to Spain. The sheer grinding depression from endless grey days punctuated by the odd bit of sunshine was really getting me down. No matter how much it rains here, I know damn well that the sunshine will return in copious quantities.

"Aim at perfection in everything, though in most things it is unattainable. However, they who aim at it, and persevere, will come much nearer to it than those whose laziness and despondency make them give it up as unattainable".

Having been a wanderer for many years, I used to regard home as merely a place to hang your hat, but Spain has now become the hat resting place. I was sunbathing this afternoon, but tonight is quite cold and it’s just started raining. Never mind, only three months to go before we can start complaining about the heat again.
