Good luck, both in your journey out, and for the future. With luck you'll be arriving at the end of the recession in Europe (many reports are now stating the recession is ending in France and Germany; there are even reports from the Beeb that the UK recession is coming to an end). So, by next summer tourist numbers to Spain should start to recover. Let's hope so !

Good luck and have fun! I'm sure you will as this is obviously your dream of many years and I think you will, as we have done, embrace/cope with (dependent on what it is!) everything in your new life. We've never regretted moving to Spain and some of the friends which we have made here are amongst the few people I would count as our "closest/best friends ever".
