I've brought garlic bread. It's very popular... I know... I've seen it... it's the future!
I would have brought more variety... but with my gammy leg I can only spend so long stood in the kitchen!
I've got a parcel here too. It came during my shift at the post office. It's marked as coming from "PVC-ARE-US". Now I just wonder who in the village that could be for!

All these new people in our Village, will have to bake more cakes and make more jam, my poor son, so many people to keep in order, he is such a good boy, and works so hard, always gives his helmet and truncheon a good rub and polish before he starts work!

Now, funny you should say that but when I was out delivering eggs from the farm early this morning I saw your son leaving miss naughtys house by the back door.......are you sure these rumours about him are correct

Re: Welcome To Forum Village
Well Miss Naughty, now I know, I knew the rumor was untrue, he is not the "only gay in the village" he is a Mans Man, so the question again is?????? Who is the "only gay in the village" ?????????? Think a large Vodka and tonic to celebrate down the local or similar

I certainly don't think that Little Britain is a model for this village...too modern. Everyone knows that all expats hanker after living in a romanticised version of Britain in the 40s and50s, so I think we should think more Agatha Christie..
I nominate Glynis as a younger more glamorous Miss Marple.....more Angela Lansbury than Margaret Rutherford.

Kitchens at the Forum Arms always available for a village grand bake, just say the word mrsjdr and I'll light the gas. You bring the kind ladies from the WI and their good will and I'll supply the spirit.
