What are the max. and min. temperatures like at the moment in and around Oliva?
Will it feel quite cold at night?
Thanks.

The forecasts often dont seem to mirror what its actually like here :)

At the moment it is cloudless blue sky, slightly misty, 13.4 degrees. In the evening it gets chilly and we have been needing a fire .... down in the town its usually a few degrees warmer than up here where we are

Re: The weather now

The weather bug site seem to be almost spot on for me anyway. At the moment its a clear blue sky about 55 f but chilly in the shade. I too have a roaring fire, Last night had 3 dogs at my feet, Roaring fire with a large cup of tea with a splash of scotch therein and a nice cigar. Mrs P is in the UK shopping.....So I was able to watch back to back episodes of campion which I had recorded, Without a female sound followed by match of the day. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh The simple things are the best.:thumbup::thumbup:

I am coming out to Denia area for a few days next week ... at this time of year I always take clothes to cover whatever the weather can throw at us as it tends to be somewhat unreliable ... I have been caught before

I was in Denia this weekend, and it was warm in the sun - but there is still a nip in the air and you will need heating on in the evenings.

Thanks for the tip ... we have underfloor heating and I tend to run it in the evenings until end April/early May, just to keep the floors warm and the chill off the place! Shame we missed each other ... maybe next time ;)

Re: The weather now

Well, here in the UK weather forcasting is pretty easy. For the last week it has been cold, damp and grey. I am willing to make a small bet that next week will be the same.

Rumours that the round yellow thing will appear are just that.

Still, I then get two weeks in Span when things have a chance of being better.

Even better is my plan (all going well) to have a solid 6 weeks in Spain in May/June, and if I don't get a fix of sunshine then, you may slap me with a fish and call me Susan.

Down here in the balmy south of England, Berkshire, the weekend was wall-to-wall sunshine, warm (15C) and spring-like .. today has been a return to the more traditional grey, miserable February-style stuff ... hope you get your fix of sunshine in Spain ... Susan ;)

Oh I do love underfloor heating - got it in my house in the UK.

I know you're not in Denia town but no doubt our paths will cross -- one sunny day!

Well, how much would you bet that I will get less sun in Spain over that period than I would in the UK?

The odds are pretty much in my favour.

Well .. actually ... from recollections of our 'out of season' visits to Costa Blanca North over the past 5 years ... I would say (although I'm not a gambler lol) that the weather in the south of UK is not dissimilar ... although at least in CBN you get decent weather in the summer!

OK, bear in mind that I'm down on the south Atlantic coast, so it's a bit warmer there. I had a delightful three days sunbathing in Feb there (try that in the old speedos in the UK even when it is sunny.) In Spain you might get a few summer days that are cloudy. In the UK you might get a few summer days that are sunny. By and large it has been my (careful) observation that we get more sunny days outside of June - Aug than we ever do in it.

Just spoken to daughter in Sevilla and it is warm (24C allegedly) and sunny there ... she is planning a trip to the beach at the weekend ....
But not bad here today (Pego) either, after a drizzly start! Tomorrow is forecast to be better and temperatures of 17C and this evening's forecast has been revised to be about 7C ...
Definitely warmer here than it will be when I get back to UK tomorrow ...

I live in Chiclana about 1-2 hours drive from Seville (really depending on the route you take) I'm about 6km from La Barrosa beach and I have been there everyday this week. It has been great people sun bathing and swimming:eek: still down there at 7pm last night and the night before enjoying the world going by. It did turn a little chilly just before we made tracks for home.

Decision made to leave it for another month, so that the night temps are a bit higher.
Very interesting as to the difference in temperatures at this time of year.
Unfortunately later in the year I find further south just too hot for me.
Thanks to you all.

Wise decision  The days can be warm and sunny but it makes it so much better to have warm balmy evenings

Well, partly you have to get used to it, but the heat where we are is very dry, and their is a lot of breeze, which helps.

It gets a tad warm when the temp goes over 40C, but then it's a case of intelligent use of time and taking it easy in the midday heat.

Chris, I'm hoping that when I get there it will be March, and things will be improving.

Hi bil

That´s a bit of an understatement today. We´ve got Levante and it´s blowing at almost 50kph.

As you say JJ looks like it's here to stay for a couple of days, should be fun with the forcast rain, I have been out shopping and the constant blowing of the wind has given me a dreadful headache, hardly anyone out walking.
