Parts of the Med coast seem to be having horrendous thunderstorms some say the heaviest recorded. Is it going to hit Costa Esuri?

We had a thunderstorm yesterday afternoon John, along with a short shower, but it has failed to clear the air or water the plants . Regards Bryony

Yes, we had a really big one yesterday. Initially I had a reading of 43mm in 20 minutes but the rain gauge was unable to cope. The pool level went up 120mm in 20 minutes.

You are less likely to suffer that sort of weather on Costa Esuri as it is mainly a Mediterranean phenomenon caused by the very warm sea and easterly winds bringing in moist air. It usually happens a bit later, typically late September/early October but we always get a few storms at the end of August but not usually this heavy. On the Costa Blanca it is the dreaded Gota Fria.

The Atlantic coast doesn't get that effect. Heavy rain there is almost always from Atlantic weather systems.

Am over in mid September, here's hoping that rain certainly isn't seen to often !

in the 80's until Friday and then temp in 70's and chance of rain for a few days - I have "had a word" and just a few light showers for a short time so rest of the day will be fabulous !! No worries
