Definitely not here to stay FOREVER.
Europe has so much to offer, it would be silly for us to say we are going to stay in Spain FOREVER.....and anyway, forever is such a long time and we're still so young....well, at least I think so
Once we have experienced a little bit more of Spain, we will probably be moving on in a few years time to explore other countries as well....with a bit of luck that is

Ive never got into the mind set of staying here forever. So much can change. How will I feel if / when my daughter has kids? Will I want to be back home?
Will I eventually get bored with life here? Will my health eventually go and I'll be more comfortable back home?
Never say never ..... you just don't know what is around the corner.
As I said before, if I felt confident enough financially I'd spend the summer in the UK and the winter here. Its not the cost of buying another place in the UK, its the maintentance / council tax etc etc ... thats the only thing stopping me

A couple of years ago, I worked with an ESOL group of learners (English for Speakers of Other Languages). One day the group was asked if they considered England to be their home now or did they hope to go back to their own country.
These were people from Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Africa and Europe. Every single one said they hoped to return home one day - even those that had been in this country for over 20 years.
