Hi CW, when we moved into our apartment in 2006 we bought a cheap, Spanish make, washing machine. It is still there today & still going strong. It isn't a fancy one that has a million programmes, but just does the basics. Sorry I can't remember the make, take care.

We’ve got a Beko, had it for 11 years, never missed a beat. Nothing fancy or high tech, more than enough programs, and smart looking.

Beko one of the main brands in Spain, should be fine with that type.

We have a Beko washer, & also a dryer, here in the UK, can't fault them.

I would say buy one with the least amount of buttons / complications on it. They all have too many programs. I always buy the most basic 7kg Bosch washer. I have one twelve years old in UK. Get's hammered every day. Never had a problem. Various family have bought whirlpool and indesit and the drum bearing / seal seem to fail after 4 years effectively scapping the machine. Agree Beko seem to be good also.

The Whirlpool here is over 12 years old. Ferrer have some on their website but no extended blurb on them, the expanded image is useless. Adding it to your basket gives no extra info either. Tomorrows job work out which one and get it ordered. Thank you for your helpful replies.

My brother had a Beko dishwasher which burnt down his kitchen.
I would always go with the main brands eg Bosch and Balay for mid-range and AEG or Miele for premium.
I researched on the web and chose the machines we wanted and took the product specs to Ferrer who offered us around 40% off RRP without even haggling. Drop shipped from their warehouse in Sevilla the next day, installed and took away the old machines foc. First class service.

Thanks for your replies I have a new machine coming today, from Ferrer. They were very helpful and I chose Zanussi in the end. I sent photos of the space and fittings and they are happy to come and fit as it is not inside the apartment. They are taking the old one away. So all should got as hoped. Yes I know this is Spain but I have no reason to believe it will not be fine. I bought a dishwasher from them. Faultless seamless procedure.

I think you will find the service a lot better than the UK. The last electrical item (a dishwasher) we bought in Ayamonte came from the little shop opposite the Post Office. We went in in the morning, chose the one we wanted and he delivered it when he closed at 2pm. He installed it & took the old one, plus the packaging away. In the UK you are very lucky if items are delivered in less than a week, not good, especially when your fridge breaks down 🙁
