Anyone know how I can change this into English. I haven´t a clue what they are talking about and cannot access my messages.

This
says you can change it to one of 5 languages calling 123.
What you will hear when you call 123 I can't say. But give it a try.

I tried calling it. It's not a dedicated answerfone line but a general customer service line so it'll speak to you in spanish. Since that's the problem, it's not going to be the solution.
You can register on Mi vodafone, on the vodafone website. It looks like you can choose english. Then in services you can change your answerfone configuration, and the language it speaks.

Edited to add: Ah, but even if you start in english, it seemsthat once you enter mi vodafone, it reverts to spanish with the options of gallego, catalán and euskera.......
Maybe you should give your phone to someone who speaks spanish, ask them to call 123? Or to do it for you on the website?

Ok, try registering your phone on Mi vodafone in english.
Then log in and do this
Go to Gestion de Servicios in the menu on the left.
Choose Opciones de contestador
In the page that opens up you'll see a drop down box next to Idioma de Contestador. Choose english in there.

Hi
In case anyone else wants to do it - I simply walked into my local vodafone shop (before I spoke sufficient Spanish) and asked them to swap the language.
They were very happy to oblige - as they have done at various times when Ihave needed help - I still find it difficult to listen to Spanish on the phone - I do it but badly!
