Visit to Uk

We are having our first visit back to the Uk in 1.5 years. The first since we moved here.

What was it like for others on here who went for their first visit back.

On our list of things to do apart from family is charity shops and car boot sales, lots of cheap clothes shopping, food food and food.

What do you do apart from see family?

The weather had better be dry:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

I ALWAYS have an indian takeaway (IMO they're so much cheaper and nicer in the UK)!!!! I usually go to tescos, sainsburys and our local seafront just to take a look to compare, I go clothes shopping, go out with friends for drinks or a meal and thats about it apart from seeing family! After a day or two, I'm counting the days til I come back to Spain.

Don't know, haven't been back yet :p but I should imagine charity shops would be right up there. If you want a decent Indian, check our www.spicentice.com and you'll never have another takeaway again.

I go to the cinema having prestocked up on jelly babies, fruit pastilles, american hard gums etc.

Regardless of the film I then scoff the lot & make myself v ill with the sugar rush.

Oh, chazzer missions, tescos, m&s reduced stuff, cases of discounted beers & those big bags of assorted McCoys do it for me.

I just got my visa bill for a month UK stay over christmas, it was v expensive.

Stock up on tea bags to take back?

You've avoided the cold weather we had in December, but be warned it's very windy and changeable at the moment. Not really seen any sun for a week now, but maybe you'll bring the sun with you!

It's got to be a proper English Chippy first stop from the airport. Next day Tesco's and Asda, Pork pie as a snack then later an Indian takeaway.

Great Food is all I miss from the Uk.

Really, What else do they have that's good?

You see, you type stuff like that, someone jumps on it and you end up running away crying victimization.

Me too, usually the first day back.

I bring back Twinings Lemon & Ginger teabags and I also look for trousers that I don't have to take 20-30cm off before wearing.

Most of the food I would miss is available from here without much hassle. We went back a week ago. The weather was shit, the roads like something out of Wacky Races, and way too many people for my liking. Tesco's was good tho.

Oh yeah. Did I mention? The weather was shit.
