Default Vapona strips

This has just put my blood pressure thru the roof.

It's a crap product, and I have always felt it unsuitable for the purpose, but I finally found a use for it.

I have a couple of geraniums that are heaving with an aphid type pest which seems immune to the bug sprays, and I thought, I know what, I'll put the plant in a plastic bag and let the little swine laugh that one off.

Nope, they have stopped selling them, which of course figures as every damn time I need anything it disappears.

Do they sell them in Spain?

Thanks.

Apparently there is the slightest danger that a really, really stupid person might eat a few and get a stomach ache.

Vapona is an organophosphate, the fact that it may or may not be banned is a bloody good thing.

Organophosphates wont just give you a bit of a tummy bug, they produce tumours in 100% of all lab rat tests.

There are lots of them about. Rules and regs are for their safety, not ours.

God loves them. Why else would he make so many?

There's another product that looks the same, but uses a different insecticide in it. For moths. Still should do the same job I hope.

Having Vaponas hanging around in living space was pretty dumb. I just want to use it as a short exposure source.

Moth products tend to be pheromone based as they are highly sensitive to pheromones.

Using pheromones to kill, or to lure to a sticky trap?

How would they kill with pheromones?

Pheromones don't only lure, they can also trick the moths in to thinking another moth has already moved into the area/place/whatever else.

They can also deter.

But dogs and cats are here cos of us - if they weren't pets we'd have killed them off long ago - so they don't count.
