Default Urgent advice re work in Spain

Hello

Does anyone know what is required work permit-wise for a British citizen working on a short term contract in Spain, for an American company (based in the US).

Thanks

If you're here less than 90 days, and are being paid by an american company, then I believe you need nothing special -

and even if you technically do need some sort of permit, it will be hard to find fault when you clearly are legally in the country, aren't living here tax-free or taking a Spanish job.

he's British, so usually he wouldn't need any sort of work permit at all - it's the American company bit which might complicate things

Boris-canadabound - your company should really be sorting this out for you tbh

No, I have been asking in respect of two different people.
The company appears to have been mis-advised so I am just trying to find out what the situation is.

Thanks for your help.
