Hang on a mo. I'm with Endesa and my app still tells me im on their HAPPY tariff. Are you guys saying that is no longer true and theres a universal peak/off peak hours that will be applied. Endesa havent emailed me any information about changing tariffs, new charges or new peak, off peak times. Have i missed something?

Generally, for non-PVPC tariffs:
- if you were on a peak/off-peak tariff it will get turned into a peak/middle/off-peak tariff (don't really know how to translate it).
- if you were on an a single all-day tariff you still will be afterwards, but it will go up a bit. Looks to be the case with your tariff.
If it turns out your happy tariff isn't making you that happy, maybe you could dust off Excel and try working out if you would be better off with another one.
Remember for the standing charges (término potencia), Endesa use €/kW/month on the website and €/kW/day on the bill so you're going to have to multiply by 12 then divide by 365. I thought I'd mention that to save you having a heart attack.

Good news - reduction (temporary possibly!) on IVA - this from latest Money Saver Spain newsletter :-
Reduce your electric bill by more than the sales tax cut Last week the reduction in sales tax on electric bills was approved to 10% (down from 21%). However, this is only a temporary measure and will be reviewed at the end of the year.
With bills up by around 21€ on average in June, and many households still on expensive market tariffs, if this is your case you need to take action now to reduce your bills. Even though you'll probably save around 40€ from paying less tax for the rest of 2021, it makes sense to ensure you're on the best tariff too.

- Know exactly what tariff you're paying - in most cases the Government-regulated tariff works out cheaper.
- Compare and change company - it's quick and easy, there are even comparison sites in English you can use, such as Si Compare.
- Don't be swayed by introductory offers that last only a few months, or by flat-rate tariffs that more often than not will cost more over the year.
- If you have access to your smart meter, check just how much energy you consume at different times of the day and make adjustments if necessary.
- Consider installing solar panels - as they get cheaper and are available from major retailers (Ikea, Media Markt) it takes less time to recover the initial expense.

You might be in for a big surprise come next billing cycle BOB.
We just received a bill for May 17 to May 31st. Not our normal cycle and nothing but taxes added to the bill of €16 for electricity and 4€ for taxes. No other charges..

The one last month was very low and I thought I bet it shoots up this month but although this months is higher than last still good compared to what I was paying. We have been using the low rate hours for washing which does show on our bill however it also seems that my basic standing charge has dropped as well?
