There are supposed to be over 200,000 in Madrid alone. Those I met when I worked there seemed to be hard-working bright people. Having said that, a very small minority who beg or steal damage the image of the whole community.

Not bothered by the report. I won't be over there! I would be bothered if they were filling up our village here though. We have a relatively large number of Romanians already, a large proportion are hard working fruit pickers. They keep themselves to themselves but are polite and friendly in the main. Some can be a nuisance hanging around outside the few Romanian businesses but they're more unsightly than troublesome. Of course there are bad apples in every barrel...
