UK Pension - Has any one experienced Delays
Only just receiving UK state pension. First one arrived on time four weeks ago. Second payment is due today and it hasn´t arrived in the Spanish bank. I thought this was paid automatically. Has anyone experienced any problems-

Mines being delayed by a year! Our wonderful Government think I don't need it at 65 and are now going to let me have it at 66 years of age instead - how very kind of them.

No. You can apply by phone or online. Just go to the DWP website.

When your pension is paid into your Spanish bank account, what exchange rate do you get

Also, if you pay a pension direct into a Spanish account they are not allowed to make any charge for doing so.
The same applies to company or private pensions but in some cases they will charge a monthly admin fee of about £3 to £5 depending on the company they use for the transfer. The rate is usually competitive but perhaps not quite as good as the rate on UK state pensions.

Thanks for that information Fred. I will also be claiming my civil service pension as well, so that will also go into my Spanish bank account
