We're moving to menorca at some point in the future and thinking ahead, would my Vodafone UK device be considered a Vodafone ES phone or would it have to be unlocked. Cheers

Be sure to get it unlocked in the uk though as it will cost you maximum £10.

Depending on the make and age of your contract it may be unlocked already, the last 4 devices i had all of which were Samsung on Vodafone were i discovered unlocked automatically after a year, maybe worth trying a none vodafone sim to check
