I assume people are only worried about stamps when they don't have residency? Because my passport got stamped on arrival even though I showed a TIE along with it (and was traveling with my wife, who has an EU passport) and since then I have been in and out multiple times and haven't even bothered getting an exit stamp...
The bloke on the desk didn't even want to look at the TIE and I practiced in my best Spanglish as well.
We came back in Dec and they couldn't have cared less. Just waved me through, I did ask for an in but they didn't want to know.
Same on the ferry out and back in April..
Not surprising when you realise that Spain is the only country in the EU to have NOT expelled ONE British person for overstaying...
The whole freedom of movement thing is a farce. I have a British friend who is now a Portuguese resident but he lives in Spain.
Our French, Dutch and German neighbours are still non res and paying tax that way because they reckon they are better off.
None of their cars have Spanish plates either..
Oh well anyway that dont help the OP.
I would suggest you ask at immigration when you enter the country and then follow what they say. Or not. Its entirely up to you.
Lots of EU citizens are breaking their own rules but moan like mad when someone else does it..
Your other half has a Spanish passport so nobody will care how long they stay here and you shelter under that so have a nice time and dont worry.
My 2c which aint worth half that...

There seems to be a question mark hanging over the passport stamping. I was told that the non EU partner would still be stamped but I have since heard they will be completely exempt from any stamping/EES procedure. It's probably worth writing to Europe Direct for confirmation.
