Now now ...
I can and do use all sorts of programs and I have also helped other (usually older) people to use them. I've seen the look of despair on their face ...
All I was saying was that office software in the 21st century is just as fiddly as stencil carbons, typewriter rubbers and the other museum items people were going on about earlier. Modern technology saves you a lot of time but also consumes a lot of time.

Like anything it is about the initial setup, once you have got your system set up for a particular job then you will stay with that until you have to change - by which time you have forgotten how you did it last time.
Stationery is expensive in Spain, you may be able to get it in from the likes of Amazon - I have made some great price deals for envelopes etc that are up to 75% of the UK price, and the quality is there.
Perhaps using foresight, I ensured I had a fair amount of A4 paper when i moved my office out. I also have a good selection of labels, although I have recently changed from a 24 per sheet to 18 per sheet. It all comes down to how you feel about doing things.
I used to print advertising logo's onto my DL envelopes when doing mail shots which meant setting up something entirely different.
WTH I have the time, and currently I am working on my usual A4 calendar which is double sided as calendar/planner and laminated. This year I am looking at a special for a friend in Romania and putting in their Bank Holidays. Not hard but I have the equipment to do it all, even down to being able to laminate business cards and ring bind small books.
If it meant I had to set up a system for someone who had the desire but not the experience then I wouldnt have a problem with that. But - I wouldnt do it all for them, I would want them to work with me, doing most of the work under instruction. They would appreciate that more and would be part of it rather than coming in with a cup of tea when I had finished.
Sorry if this has turned into a lecture - not really meant as such. I have been working on these things since I built my first 3 valve shortwave radio aged 14, enquiring mind, gaining experience all the time. Some people aren't like that, but shouldnt be dismissed out of hand. Yes I sometimes pretend to be ignorant of technology, a bit of self deprecation there, but it never does you good to show you know too much (or too little)
