Types of resturant/bar
I know that in spain resturant, bar, night club and cafe mean different things, but what exactly is the difference.

It is pretty much the same as for any other country except slightly different names i.e.
restaurante
bar
discoteca
cafeteria
You also have things called tavernas, rincones, ventas, sidrerias, vinotecas, cervezerias, bars de tapas, chiringuitos, bocaterias, hamburgeserias, bollerias, pastelerias, heladerias, even pulperias
which are basically different types of bar/restaurants depending on what they specialise in and whether they are meant for drinking in.

I think you win the award for the strangest question I've ever seen!
It is pretty much the same as for any other country except slightly different names i.e.
restaurante
bar
discoteca
cafeteria

I think you need to come and have a look.
A bar is nothing remotely like a cafe in the UK.

I'm trying to find out cause there are a bunch of squadies going over soon, with families for work, and they want to know bars etc. lol.

I thought they meant construction gangs, brickies etc.
Just wondered as there has been a scam going round on the web for a couple of years. Claims they are building a massive new project in murcia and offering large wages, accommodation etc to Brits. Sounds too good to be true. Well it is, they ask for money upfront and string on the applicants for a while until they get fed up and realise they have been scammed.
