Default TV Tuner Cards for the PC

Are these any good on PC's in Spain?
I'm not expecting to pick up BBC1 or anything, just asking will they pick up anything like local TV down the usual aerial.
Plus how do the signal boosters effect things?
Thx

You will only pick up what aerial supply you put into it.
I have used Sky and cable and local in the UK but not here as I now have a TV/monitor with a tuner in it.

Thanks for the replies
A further question!
The signal boosters that are widely used in Spain (well around here they are) do they send any current to the TV if used in a normal home set up? The reason I ask is that this could potentially be very harmful if the aeriel lead was then attached to a card on your computer!

Fred, as I understand it, it works like this.
Spanish Digi box is replaced by a card or dongle on your PC. Your PC then becomes your digi box and your monitor the TV. I used one in the UK and your PC can become a video recorder, also you can have stuff like picture in picture and you can time shift programs.
The cards for Spain can be found HERE I think as an example.
Regards
