turning into my mum!!
prompted by a PM conversation - the other party shall remain anonymous unless they choose to reveal themselves!
do any of you ever catch yourself doing or saying something that your always swore you'd never do, simply because your parents drove you mad when you were a kid?
I find myself griping when someone opens up the living room curtains and leaves them hanging messily
dd1 griped back the other day that 'life's too short' to fuss about curtains
I remember saying the same thing at her age!
so not only am I turning into my mother but my daughter is also turning into me

Re: turning into my mum!!
I am my mum. OH tells me! Particularly when I tie my hair back in a ponytail. Or tell 7yo 'don't write with your nose' or 'take your food to your mouth not your mouth to your food' or a myriad of other things. Ref housekeeping..... jolly good job I'm a watered down version of my mum or we'd be surrounded by cardboard boxes & within a whisker of calling in Kim'n'Aggie.... but I do like collecting things 'which might be useful'

Re: turning into my mum!!
I so promised myself that I would never ever do this but have failed miserably! I look in the mirror every morning and my Mother looks back at me. OH and son say I am looking more like her every day and if I continue being like her as well I could possibly be taken back to England and left at the airport whilst they both do a runner LOL but having said that they really do love her to bits (most of the time)!!!

"Want to see what your wife will be like in the future? See her mother"
A lot of truth in that saying?

Re: turning into my mum!!
I will reveal myself.
I sent Lynnxa a message the other day and then noticed a mistake, so had to send her another one to correct it. That is how I know I am turning into my Mum - if she accidentally gives a bit of misinformation, she has to correct it, no matter how trivial.
I've never looked much like her though.

I don't look a bit like my mum but she is cute and has a brilliant sense of humour so I don't mind turning into her
