Default Travelling elsewhere from Seville?

What is the cheapest way of travelling to other cities and towns from Seville?

Is there anywhere in Southern Spain near Seville that you would reccomend? And what other places are realistic for a day-trip?

Is Portugal out of the question? Faro looks to be pretty close, how would I get there and back cheaply?

Thanks

Good connections by road and rail from Sevilla. direct trains to Cordoba ( north) and Jerez and Cadiz ( south west). Still a bit dodgy to Malaga and Granada as rail bridge still not repaired after floods. so replacamant bus between Osuna and Pedrera to Malaga and Osuna to Antequera for Granada and Almeria on the media distancia train. Bus to most towns in Sevilla province If you fancy the seaside, try Sanlucar ( for manzania bodegas) and Chipiona for the seaside. Also El Rocio is a must just to say you have been there, but avoid the Romaria weeks as it will be heaving, and the bus continues to Matalascanas for a the visit to the seaside.

Is it cheaper to buy online? If so what is the best site?

I found this

https://www.omio.com/search-frontend.../bus?locale=en
€29 return seems good. 2 hours 30 mins it says it takes. Could definitely get a day-trip out of it

There is also the high speed train (AVE) to Madrid. I believe it's about a 2 1/2 hour trip. I'm not sure it would qualify as cheap, though.

I took a bus from Seville to Lisbon once. Long journey but if you can spare the time it's a cheap way of doing things. Some pretty parts on the route as well, if I remember rightly it went along then up, with a stop in Faro.
