Decided to get some instead of dicing with fate. Only for Europe though. Any recommendations guys?

I always use Columbus, not had cause to claim though.

Staysure from many destinations in Europe is for the more mature traveller even with pre-existing.
Look at insureandgo.com as well

Yes good point - age restriction of 64 is a bit ridiculous!

We use Abbygate for Europe wide insurance but I do not know about age restrictions. Our Mapfre Desessors insurance also covers us for repatriation if we die abroad or have a life changing injury and we have discovered that our household insurance through Mafre has a very small element of travel insurance, however this was only available in Spanish and did not translate very well, hence we use Abbygate because the policy is in English and if anything did happen my spanish would totally fail if I had to sort anything out so would prefer to do that in English!

Have taken out an annual policy with Staysure. Good value but will only know if we need it which hopefully won´t.
