Tourist Flats to be turned into homes?
Given the pandemic has wrecked the 'Air BnB' short term stay market new ideas are emerging to put the empty accommodation back into full-time use

It's happening here in Nerja too. Quite a few holiday apartments have been released onto the housing market as long-term lets, usually at a competitive price.

Yes, Air BnB style landlords bailing out to get long term tenants in PDQ so they have some income stream - but the article is talking about schemes organised by local authorities which is a bit different.
The above is flooding some areas with long term lets which is causing traditional landlords problems finding tenants due to oversupply.

When we were househunting in Valencia back in June, we saw 12 apartments, 11 of them were former AirBnB. Our current apartment was one of them. In fact our whole building was for holiday lets and weddings. Now, 3 out of the 4 apartments have been let to ex-pats and an art school has taken over the ground floor.

Well thats a good thing isn´t it ? it´ll bring the prices down on the apartments and houses for the long term rentals. Everyone has been complaining in the news and on tv for the last year that Air B&B has been increasing the rental prices so much that locals cant afford to live in cities. That´ll all change for the better if this is true ?
