Yeah well.
"The beach restaurant is on the Pinillo beach and constructed illegally on public land. The business also lacks an opening licence although they do have the concession for the sun beds on the sand."
I don´t know the full story behind this particular bar, but to try and operate without an opening license is just plain stupid.

They are all built on the beaches, and buildings have to be a certain distance from the beach, and the new gov are now trying to get rid of them.
Along the coast here there are also lots of villas built on the beach and I think they will be the next on the list to go.

I live well way from the location you speak of but illegal or not and I do understand you can not have a free for all, I think a number of these beach places do provide a service and means you do not have to pack the beach things to take light refreshment. With regards our blue flag beaches in the village, The Town Hall erect each May a beach bar which is let out to licence and a first aid hut together with lifeguards and jet skis to get to anyone with probs they even provide a sort of floating wheelchair in order the disabled can take the waters. This is on each of the two in Town beaches. I think my town hall take care of our village and we are far from the maddening crowd. The place is spotless no drunks apart from me of course and in the main no shorts in the evening. I mean how can one cut a dash in shorts during the evening.

With regards the Mayors family eating in your location for free they must have little self worth if the would sell their sole.....getit for a fish supper.

Talking about cutting a dash in shorts, have you ever visited Bermuda ?

I am afraid my father would not allow me to wear long trousers when I visited home in the holidays until I was about 15 and I never owned a pair of jeans. I was just not allowed to have them.I wore long grey pants at school because they were part of the uniform.
I have not been to Bermuda only Barbados but I rather like the city boys in their shirts and shorts.
