Default Tonights Debate

Ok last night we had gm and cloning heres tonights instalment.

The Planet in a 100 years. how would you like to see the globe interacting with itself. I see a single planet one currency as a Africans day is worth the same as mine. One single military force to deal with isolated power stuggles in small regions. and the whole planet being used to supply the occupants with their needs (no longer a group of individual nations acting in a global pillage manner. And free movement anywhere. We think we live in a wonderful society but does anyone think that capitalism is the final answer to our future. would not a credit system for what you put in is what you get out and the luxury that you receive. forget Marxism Communism a new foundation for living by needs to be developed. And the question of what can be done in the name of religious belief. Most if not all large scale wars are caused by some sort of religious fuel. The Germans killed a lot of people in the first and second world war but Hiroshima and Nagasaki still to this day are the single explosions that killed the most people in one hit and the two together and the Americans are not far behind the Germans.

America has become the new face of fascism with a push here and their one bomb two bombs if they get their way can you imagine how the world is going to turn out.

Not in for a debate - but I quite like your thinking

I think you've got the wrong forum for this.

I need the GM one for my course, but I'm up for a debate.

In 100 years the power base will be India and China, the US will be as we are now, they are behaving how we did at the end of our Empire, lots of posturing, lots of aggression and lots of mistakes made.

Europe will have united to form a single state just to survive, France will still be doing as it pleases and Germany calling all the shots and still bitter about 2 world wars and one world cup!!!!

The Falklands will be part of Argentina, because we are such Empire builders!!! But they will also own part of Antartica, and the tip of what should really be chile! Meanwhile Spain will still have Cueta and Melilla, oh and the Canary Islands, because they are close to Spain eh?

South America will have economic control over the US due to it being the only country still dependant on oil, Britain will be a Muslim state, while the Middle East will be a Christian and Jewish region.

Oh and jdr will still be promising free beer when there quite obviously ISNT ANY!!!

It was a question aimed at expats in spain so that causes a dilemma because a lot dont use the loungeand this

GM Debate Right, this is a duplicate post I am aware, I hope its ok jdr, but I really need some opinions on the whole topic, there are some real people on here, who dont really have any problems expressing themselves and I know some wont post in TIO so come on, what are your views?

I for one dont see the fuss given the applications open to the use of GM and to a degree cloning.

Must be in the wrong place but no one seemed to mind. As it was stated that it was a double post.

And are you saying that expats in spain dont follow worldwide topics and debates

Its definitely not where I would like to see the world but I suspect that it isnt that far from the truth.

I see things getting worse I.m afraid, the population boom is uncontrollable, it is fairly obvious that we need to "lose" a huge percentage of the world.

The Middle East is less about religion and more about resources, the fact that water is so scarce is a very hot topic, and who ever controls the water, controls the area, everyone else has to pay the piper.

What was Iraq really over? What is the whole Iran thing about? Afghanistan was just a means to an end, look how few resources are being spent on it compared to Iraq by the US, it is obvious it was simply a stepping stone, a useful diversion.

Why has not one country stood up and put their neck on the line about Tibet? Resources, massive mineral and uranium deposits that are being mined by China, with western interests and for global profit.

Where would I like to see the world in 100 years? In a better place than now but somehow I think it will be worse off.

The reason is these forums in the attachment were made to post in to keep the others clear to be used as they are named.
Just imagine if all the posters on the US and Oz etc started posting in Spain forum about worldwide stuff and visa applications etc plus all the ones in the attachment, you wouldn`t be able to find the Spain posts ?

Few known facts about the middle east it was fine until the uk sorted the jews buy giving them their new home which was not theirs.

Saddam hussain trained at the same miliatry school as me Sandhurst the first challenger tank designed for desert warfare the first two production squadrons worth were sold to saddam as a tank commander in the first gulf war these were our first targets destroy possible competition we hit them hard so that the only remaining heavy armored tanks were old Russian t82s etc the us constantly supply isaral with weapons to continue their negative input to the middle east.

I served in the first gulf war was in the first wave in but i disagree with the whole purpose that is in the agenda.

Ok I know continuing this will send it to the Lounge or TIO, but the Middle East was in a royal mess well before that, they were pawns in a much larger Empire game at the turn of the century, and sorry to say but Israel did belong to the Jews, if you want to get pedantic they lived there centuries before Islam was even founded, they simply lived in harmony with every other religion there.

What were the crusades about?

Not sure how you can doubt the Gulf crisis and its link to oil. Kuwait was a made up country, it had no history, it was part of Iraq, it was Iraqi.
Yet we went in to defend it, a country made by us in part, and stood by and watched the genocide in the Balkans. Why? No oil.

Now its a debate.
