It's a beautiful day here in Marbella, I'm off to the port soon for lunch and outside. Making the most of it as next week in the UK for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will brighten up for when I'm there. I always feel I want to hibernate when it is wet and cold....have you got your hibernation gear with you. :D

What part are you returning to?

I'm flying to Coventry, staying overnight in Birmingham and then going to Rutland for a two day Golf event

Golf ...... February .... England ....... am I completely loopy?

Lots of pullovers, waterproofs etc being packed

I flew from Coventry a couple of weeks ago, don't like that airport. Most people usually fly from UK to Spain for golf, sure you read the address correctly. :D

Maybe it will be water polo instead...

OH Come on Mercedes, its a nice small , easy to check in, security check, etc, ...so you have to walk out on the tarmac to get on the plane, but FAR less hastle than London airports , and also Birmingham...I loved it when I used it on the 3rd.

I know what you mean, its a bit of a shed ....... but one of the first times we used it, it was pouring with rain when we landed and rather than us get wet, all the staff complete with umbrellas came out and ushered us to the terminal.

I've used it religiously since we've been coming here as it repeatedly offers the best price from the Midlands for Valencia via Thomsonfly.

Okay you lot listen up :p I will be moving to Spain around May all being well. Details to follow when I have had a kip. Just got back from the airport and knackered. I am 3000 euros lighter after putting a deposit down on a detached villa at Hondon de la Nieves

Thanks for the concern Pete

You don't waste much time do you  We will be moving to Castalla, just a bit further north from you.

Re: Tommorow, cant wait!

Just googled the area and saw this...

The village itself has a good choice of restaurants, bars, banks and markets. Hang-gliding, ballooning, quad biking, horse riding, trout fishing, mountain biking and rambling are all available in the area and can be enjoyed against the stunning backdrop of the spectacular Crevillente mountain range.

Better keep the bit about trout fishing quiet or you'll have Pete knocking on your door

Yup recognise all those and mini panic attacks at 3 am and not being able to get back asleep. Mini panic attacks during the day and waves of sickness and dread. I think it must go hand in hand with a move like this. Will plow on regardless as I can see the end game. I have a burning desire to leave this hell hole and these doubts are my fuel for the fire. Once I am sat in the sun on my terrace on my first night the fire will die out, it will be nothing more than embers of some distant memory, I will finally douse those embers with a glass of red produced at the local winery whilst surrounded by vineyards and mountain views.

Well done and good luck. We have been here a year last week, and no way are we going back.
The sun is shinning today, and the weather is lovely.
We are not in our house yet, as it is a major reform, But even with all the work we still love it.
Enjoy

I rented a DVD i had booked in advance " A mans life in the Peak District " and couldnt even concentrate on it due to the worrying !! Been of me food , been checking the site on and off for any word from you ,was there any NO ..!! Then you come on and tell us calm as anything you brought a place !! amazing ...
Dont ever do that again !!

Now you have had some home truths , i would like to add brilliant news on the villa  good bit of negotiating as well ..
So well done ..

But please oh please make sure you have a bouyancy aid near that pool , and dont go in it after you just eaten for 1 hour !!

And keep us informed better in future ..:)
