I must confess my suggestion was intended light-heartedly (hence the LOL). As snikpoh says, nicking sand from the beach is illegal. ISTR that a firm supplying sand to Gibralter got into big trouble for allegedly 'vandalising protected sand dunes' or similar. So don't take too much at once, do it at night and maybe hide it down a trouser leg!

We have a concrete pool and I wanted to paint it when it was built but our builder also said that if you do then they'll never be able properly to tile it afterwards. There was always the risk of the tiles falling or slipping.

Re: Tiling a painted pool
There was nothing extra put on the surface after the pool concrete was formed but then it has been tiled.

I'm in the process of tiling one now and, having stripped back the old paint, you do have to seal the pool. Costs about 65€ for a 5 litre pot of the stabilizer.

Hi The only treatment/stabilizer I know is SIKA or is there another one I do not Know about:goodpost:
I used "RESIFER A" from FERBALCA. It's a resin specifically to provide a bond whilst sealing the concrete. |
