After reading lots of posts on here,i think it could be time to sell up in spain, house prices falling, cost of living going up,but have i left it too late to sell. How bad is the housing market,i have a morgage with a spanish bank, but am i correct in thinking that banks have stopped lending money to the brits.I dont want to rent it out,and love it here in romania, the cost of living is cheap, house prices are low.If anyone can give first hand advice on the state of things in spain at the moment, please get in touch.

Its on the alberca estate. We wanted to try a different way of life, somthing not british,i found that too many brits try to make spain well british, its not and never will be.I lived in the centre of benidorm for six months and hated it.THE BRITS ON THE PISS.drives you crazy when you try to get to sleep. So we bought the house in alberca, surrounded by mountains, looked at it at different times of day and night, peaceful. Then one day some of the holiday home lets started to arrive,DUTCH,god they are so inconsiderate, they make the brits look like drink free nuns.Because of the problems my brother has,i need to be quite, hence we have chosen rural romania.

If it was me and I didnt need to sell the house in Spain and could afford to keep it then I would hold on to it.......but only you can decide what to do with the house in Spain!

MMMMMMMMMMMMM thats why i put the thread on,try to get some feedback. The property game, you need a crystal ball.Im not using the property now, when i first moved in there was 50 houses owned by brits, now about 10.I think the spanish have money now, they think they don't need the brits money, that could be the downfall of spain. You can holiday in more exotic locations for similar money.

I would stick it on the market...If people can find a decent bank and their isn`t a queue and they don`t all jump in front of each other to get to the front and are able to get a mortgage....it might just sell....
