Like you do most off your life? Relocating in my eyes is like my nephew did going to the Australia and leaving all your friends and family, I no everyone doesn't think like me but its just another chapter in your live ?? I say try it , or live to regret it when your to old

You say two and a half hours by plane, true, but add on the ravelling to get to the airport, the fact that you have to be there 2 hours before the flight, then the wait at the other end for your luggage, and I suspect the cost of the airfare might well be a lot more than the train fare to Leicester, the he train to Leicester wins out everyway.

No not really from liverpool to leicester its 3 trains with cases up an down platforms so you don't miss next train?? Then no seats unless you book and pay extra....when it already costs about £70......I no I've done it easier to get to London by train from liverpool, an you can get flights from as little as £20 to Murcia airport depending when you want to go....so sorry plane for me ??

What a load of old crap.

You can go from Liverpool to Birmingham and then on to Leicester.

2 trains. There are lots of fare less than £70. A lot of them are early morning, but they are available.

Now show me a flight to Murcia for £20.

An awful lot has changed since you last lived in Spain. Not only your personal circumstances but also the Spanish economy.

It is not the land of milk and honey.

Your refusal to address any serious issues leads to me believe that you are trolling.

You have a son that apparently needs you as his full time carer yet the only question you have asked regarding his welfare is your benefit position.

I would have thought that a Mother in your position would engage in more serious debate than sun and beaches et al.

Not unusual, in the past we have had people that have decided to move to an area and then a couple of weeks before going, start asking about schools. All too often it seems to be all about what the parents want, we'll worry about the kid's schooling when we get there. Never wanted to go to Murcia, but at only 2 hours and £20, it would be silly not to!

Josie, does your son have any medical needs that may cause a difficulty? Some people have had problems gaining some medicines here so that is why I ask.

Rosemary

No-one is slagging you off, but if the information was given to start with, and when people ask, then people would be better placed to give you useful information. You say his schooling is already sorted out, and that would have been useful at the start, if you don't mention it, people will, perhaps wrongly, assume that you haven't addressed that part of the move.

My son does have medical needs yes, and does have medication which I do need to see into but, like I said the move would be a year away, and just started looking into things now, and I didn't ask any info on schools because I dint need to it was irrelevant, I asked about benefits because my son is entitled to Disability living Allowance (DLA)

This might be the most inportant thing to look into as there are many medicines not available in Spain, there is a poster on here, Porth, who was on some specific medicine, when she enquired she was told it was available in Spain, when she moved to Spain she found it wasn't, despite what she had been told, so they are having to move again. The Spanish health authorities have a lot of problems with drug availablity, often due to them not paying the bills. If your son's medication is an uncommon one, then you could have problems, and so I think you must concentrate on getting that sorted out as a priority.

Which bit of "in the past" are you having trouble understanding? You are new to the forum, so you have no idea what has been said in the past, trust me we have had people that put their kids education somewhere way down the list, not at the top where it should be. You seem to have a persecution complex.
