Re: Things to stock up on!!

I have never felt the need to stock up on anything... but saying that, I do order many of my 'weird spices' online from seasonedpioneers.co.uk... Stuff like Balti Masala or unique chili powders or strange curry-type spices as I love to cook.

And it IS difficult (not impossible!) to find some spices here.

Of course, it was difficult to find said spices in the UK sometimes when I lived there, so heyho.

And as for the coffee it is only a comment someone made. and as i am not there yet, i did not know if there was some things which are over priced or not available in the supermarkets. :)

Miss Naughty I am disappointed in you... sophistication from Debenhams ?? and I had you down as an Anne Summers girl!! Punishment under the Trades Description Act for misleading profile titles may be in order...
Where in Spain are you heading for?? Cadiz, Seville and Jerez have great shops, and Mango, Zarah and Massimo Dutti, to be found everywhere in Britain now, are all part of the same SPANISH group.
Now can someone tell me why it is not often one finds coffee beans in the supermarkets??

Okay, you win on that one. :D Its funny my partner when he comes over, stocks up my cupboards with baked beans, soup etc and I never eat it. I don't cook anyway here generally I tend to always eat out. But I only tend to buy fresh fruit and vegies anyway, I can't eat tin food or packet food.

If you are bringing out English lamps bring spare bayonet bulbs as you can only get screw bulbs here. There's nothing else I haven't found for sale somewhere over here these days.

Decaffeinated tea-bags, bisto granules, Patak's curry paste.

Also jeans and other trousers because where I live in the sticks you can only buy trendy clothes to fit teenagers; older women (over 30) are supposed to wear 'fogey' clothes and everything for the larger lady is fogey-ish, also even if I do get a pair of jeans in my size (UK 18) they are miles too long. BHS petite section for the shorter person for me!

The bras for larger busts are awful too and look like those catapults the Romans used to fire rocks from. So I stock up at M & S when I visit the UK.

Hi,
No i am not an Anne summers wearer :p they are over priced and scratchy so nope i prefer jasper conran in debs for underwear or contessa. we are moving to the marbella area and i know they have some nice stores.

but i heard, you can tell me if i am wrong but kettles and electrical stuff are soooooooooooo expensive.

Try figleaves or Bravissimo online, so much better than M&S underwear.

I miss blackberries, gooseberries, raspberries and clotted cream and cornish new potatoes, and M&S sandwiches.

I agree with all the comments about the clothes. They are so, so small but you can order at M&S online and get them sent to a friend or family in the UK who is coming out on holiday. Over 30 GBP and it´s free delivery.

....and at what point did 30 become 'an older age'? Yes, older than 29 but certainly not ready to shuffle off the mortal coil surely!
