Though I fully understand the reason for "realigning" this thread to the original topic - I am a little concerned my comments have been deleted, yet those with diametrically opposed opinions have been copied onto this thread - in some cases the original context was actually in response to my comments.
If I didn't know better I'd suggest a little propaganda is in the air
I'll briefly restate - There is absolutely no reason for not moving to Spain if you have no interest in their culture, history, ethos or values and are prepared to tolerate the natives inability to accept others points of view or criticism of their country.
If you just fancy a bit of warm weather and cheapish cost of living not too far from home - that is perfectly fine.
Additionally it is perfectly possible to get by withou bothering to learn the language - so long as you choose your area.

Just out of curiosity, how to you feel about people who move to Britain,with disdain for the country and people,and cant be bothered to learn the language?

While it's possible to completely disdain the culture and language of ones host country, I wouldn't say that in any way increases the chance of success.
Icortez, to answer your question, I despise them. I feel that they should s*d off back to the pest hole they came from and leave room for more well mannered people.
