We are just about to finish a 4 week course in San Miguel. Three days a week 4 hours at a time. I had no knowledge of Spanish at all. Now I can speak a lillte and when my confidence grows lots more. No homework and very very understanding teacher.

Recommended 100% If you call her tell her John & Dawn recommended her.

The lady is called Vicki and you can call her on 965999047 or email her: [email protected]

Regards

Just hope her first name isn't Sticky or he could be in for a bit of a surprise.

Maybe an English course would be useful too, looking at the topic heading.

Probably the 'biggest' name in the area is Jane Cronin who has been giving Spanish lessons in the area for years and has taught many Expats to speak some Spanish. She also writes articles for the local papers etc.

You might want to check if courses are available via your local town hall. Last time I checked, free lessons were avalable in Rojales and Ciudad Quesada.

If you are only after very basic language lessons than using a British teacher is fine

But if you hope to one day become fluent then you would be much better off choosing a Spanish teacher

It is well known that using a native speaking teacher gives you the best chance of success

Yes I agree native is usually preferable but Jane has lived in Spain for many many years and has a Spanish family.
But yes beware of those offering lessons who actually need them themselves.

Thank you for your reply. Is this lady Spanish or English. I would like to have a Spanish teacher rather than English. How much does the course cost? Is it per week/hour? Thank you again.
