Can anyone out there please tell me will I be able to use an english telephone in Spain are the phone sockets the same.

No but you can buy an adaptor for 3 euros, simple as that. No need to go around the houses for such a simple reply!!

Thanks very much, my phone broke yesterday so will go out and get a new one, my family move on the 8th december and I think the instructions in english will be a bonus.

When you get here, buy one of the phone cards to phone the UK, you can get about 4 hours for just 6 Euros, can even use them in the telephone kiosks. Eurodirect is the one we use, but there are a number.

Thanks for that, still can't quite believe it is actually happening, just going through the whole house throwing out all the old junk we don't need.
