Here's the link in Spanish (I don't think there's an English version), they do a monthly subscription or prepaid.

http://www.telefonicaonline.com/on/e...ndex_venta.htm

This link is a search engine to find Telefonica Wi-fi zones.

b121,
Telefonica has been providing UMTS (3G cell phone technology) for normal users since 2004. This service allows voice and data at 384 Kb/s but it's not available everywhere and they charge by the traffic.

You could read about it here:

http://www.mobilecomms-technology.co...ts/telefonica/

or searching "UMTS Movistar"

and probably contract this service (and a 3G card for you PC) in any Movistar shop. Again you need to check the coverage. Unless you need it full time and "everywhere" you'll be better served by using just WiFi.

We've downloaded a programme called Translation plus 10.0 from Demonoid, this will give you the chance to copy into it pages of text and it will translate them, it also has a very nice dictionary as well, also does other EU language translations. Looks much better than Babelfish.

You could buy a USB 3G modem from Vodafone Spain. Broadband speeds on packages up to 5GB a month plus charges per additional GB. I've just got one for the same reason and I can use the laptop just about anywhere

I have it on contract having supplied my NIE, bank details and the address of the hotel! They also do a pre-pay service.
