I got so fed up with telefonica modems that I bought myself a cheap wired one from Carrefour. It has never let me down over the past two years or so.

Itâ€™s a Thompson Speed Touch and Iâ€™ve just realised that itâ€™s even more than four years old. Itâ€™s very basic but works fine.

Mine didnâ€™t install straight out of the box, Iâ€™m using XP, but it comes with an installation disc, in Spanish, a wee bit fiddly with the Usario: adslppp@telefonicanetpa and Contrasena: adslppp. I think Fred has already given them.

I put the two folder shortcuts from the installation disc on my desktop, one is â€˜Gestor de arranqueâ€™ the other â€˜Configurador de agenteâ€™, for when I try other modems and need to reconfigure afterwards.
