Taxable allowances
Hi all,
Can anyone advise whether such things as an hipoteca payment or an alimony payment are tax deductable in Spain. Thanks for any help here Cheers |
Re: Taxable allowances
Mortgage payments are no longer deductible for the purchase of your home, but they are an allowable expense against income from a property bought specifically to let long term.
Alimony payments under a court order to a former spouse are deductible, but child maintenance payments are not. |

Re: Taxable allowances
Mortgages running before they changed the rules can still be deducted. It's not just the interest, the entire capital payment is deductible up to 9k per annum.
