Default Tax For New Early Retiree Questions

Hi
I will leave my job on Voluntary Severance (VS) at the end of March 2016 I will have a lump also from my pension which is currently tax free, on the VS the first 30k is tax free then 40% on the rest. I will be paying off the bit of a mortgage and buying a property in Spain as well. Prior to that I'll sell my current house this year and buy an investment property here on a bit of a mortgage which is what will be paid off when I retire. Then we will move to Spain officially in August 2016 after some travelling, when we leave the UK maybe in May 2016.

So, when we move to Spain we will register after six months , say Feb 2017 we will then tax register in August 2017 and the first tax form I will have to complete will be June 2018 for the 2017 tax year. Do I then pay the tax on my company pension in one hit for 2017 and can they deduct it monthly from then on? Also as my wife won't have an income can we use her tax allowance as in married allowance as it will be our income, including any rent we collect on the UK apartment. And finally will I be liable for any tax on my UK pay outs when I retire VS and pension lump sum? Have I got this right about tax timings?
I hope I have explained this ok.
Thanks

If you're not moving until August 2016, and have not totalled 183 days in Spain in 2016 you wont be tax resident until you have completed 183 days in 2017

You will have to make an annual tax return in Spain (between May/June for previous year) and pay any taxes due either one lump or 2 installments. It is not possible to make monthly payments.

Monthly payments would be ideal, I would rather that than a big bill, however if that's not possible I'd rather pay it in one hit. So which previous year , would that be 2017?

Thanks
