Need some advice on the income tax situation in Spain.
I registered with the HMRC as an absent landlord so I could continue to pay my taxes in the UK however since I arrived I have been told by A Gestoria that To get medical cover in Spain I have to register for "Residencia" status and be liable for Spanish income tax.i am an OAP.
Anybody shed some light on this please
Regards
Eddie

If you live in Spain for more than half the year you become tax resident and pay tax in Spain. You are liable for tax on the UK rentals but you can offset any UK tax paid against the Spanish tax.
As a UK pensioner you will get full medical cover if you ask the DWP for form S1.
You also have to register with the police and get put on the register of foreigners before you can have the free health care.
