SWINE FLU HITS SPAIN.
#1
SPAIN’S health authorities are currently analysing more than 20 cases of suspected swine fever, which has already killed more than 100 people in Mexico. The patients possibly affected by the virus are in Cataluña, Andalucia, the Balearic Islands, Valencia, Bilbao, Teruel, Albacete, Navarra and Madrid. All of them are aged between 21 and 30 and have recently returned from Mexico.

I think the concern comes from what isn`t in the media.
The issue is nowing if the flu can be controlled by current stores of medication, this flu has mutated quicker than any other in history and was not predicted.
If current stocks of meds don`t control the spread your looking at 6 months + to test and develop new stocks. Many could die before that happens.
The UK guy today who has contracted it from friends did test negative 2 days ago, but today is positive.
Its the fear of the unknown.

The Government (and the media) have spent the last 10 years drumming up one scare story after another.
Maybe this time it is serious, but isnt it convenient how it has taken the headlines away from the budget deficit?

How do you know that this particular form of flu virus mutated faster than any other (the media per chance??), and what does it matter anyway, other than the poor old pharmaceutical industry might have to charge the government more to produce a roll-on vaccine that wont work any better or worse than any other flu vaccine ever produced!!
Its not so much fear of the unknown, its the fear of the relentless and sensationalised headlines designed to shock!!! and of course sell newspapers! The media are having a field day!

So ignore the media and the possibility of them exagerating the truth and take notice of the World Health Organisation.

The number of cases in Canada has increased & all of them that I know of, are from those people returning from Mexico. Be very careful not to be close to those people returning from Mexico.

So sharp! Normally some nation would start a war if I´m not mistaken. I guess there´s no budget this time !

The worrying thing is this is a combination of three different strains of flu...but how did they get merged in the first place?
Here is a map of where the flu cases are, at the moment in Spain. Beds are confirmed cases the question marks are suspected cases.
