On Wednesday I sent a message to someone in the town hall about the fact that as I have been imprisoned in my house for many weeks which means that I have bought lots of things over the internet so I have accumulated a huge box full of cardboard which I cannot see me taking to the eco parc any time soon and would appreciate their advise.

Friday I received a message asking me to be at my door in five minutes time. I complied and was amazed when a policeman arrived in full uniform in the police car and asked me for my items for the eco parc. Now how about that for good service!!!!

I am currently stuck in UK, where the council have closed the recycling centre. How crazy is that? We have even more fly tipping

Yes, Spain is at times amazingly well organised. We have plastics and cardboard recycling large bins next to the normal basura bins so I have been recycling all through the lockdown. Our eco park has been closed.

Our eco parc was closed initially but opened with shorter hours when people were released on good behaviour recently. I would have done the same as you and taken the recycling when taking the normal rubbish but my neighbours insisted that I should not leave the house under any circumstances. I am fiercely independent so I have tried to minimise their commitment to keeping me safe, hence the internet purchases.
