That's the new Ryanair plane isn't it?
You know, the one that can dump your luggage straight into the airport car park on the final approach so they can avoid paying baggage handling fees!

OK so you have 2 x Canadair (now Bombardier) CL415 amphibious water bomber's as Spain has 3 you didnt get a full set so no prizes
there are also 14 x CL215's you could get a visit from
Does this mean you have bush fires in your area ??

Hi Fred. Watched that one last night at about midnight - looked big.
Do you know where it was? Somewhere on a line between Jimena and La Alcaidesa I would guess.

Sunday they were picking water up off Puente Mayorga as they are doing this morning.
Todays fire is on the east side of Queen's Chair the hill occupied by the military between the two roads into La Linea.
I have just listened to the GBC lunchtime news, it would appear what you saw last night and I saw this morning are one and the same fire.
Residents of Santa Margarita were evacuated and the Higeuron ( East access to La Linea & Gibraltar ) road was closed.

Sunday's fire was really bad - at least 2 planes and 2 helicopters worked for hours from the afternoon onwards to put out the flames, which were huge. The fire reached the edge of the service road alongside the CN341 near Alcaidesa and San Roque Club. as far as I know nobody was hurt. As said above, more fire last night and this morning.

Thanks Triana I wondered where Sundays fire was. The planes were flying over us to get water but we could not see the fire. We didn't see any helicopters.

It must be so scary to have these fires so close to your home!
