I have started this thread as an apology to Pete......XTreme, last year some time we fell out a little because he started posting things about Brits re-inventing themselves and for a large part being full of crap the second they board a plane.....
He kept saying about the skills plane that touched down every week filled to the brim with people who, oft times with little or no experience AT ALL, would set up in no time as "professionals" the second they walk off the runway.
He suggested, I thought wrongly at the time, that people lie about who they are and what they are to over inflate their importance, their position, and to be honest, the optimist in me made me question him, at times quite vociferously.................
Well Pete, I'm sorry mate, I have been proved wrong over the last few days and have come to realise that you were far more intuitive than I could ever be..................It really is possible to become whatever you want to be, so long as you just keep telling people enough that's what you do, and thats who you are.
I don't think I will bother spending any more money or time getting my Masters and diploma, I think I will just tell every one that I have them...........it will be OK, I'm sure.
Pete, I'm sorry I ever doubted you mate, please accept my humblest apologies.........

I can't be bothered looking through your back catalogue of posts - I'm too busy trying to decide what I think of Foreigners who come to the UK and don't love the country, our history and foibles, and speak queens English-but is this the most verbose of your contributions to date , or have I missed one??

I a bit scared to look on the "time we grew up" thread - does she shout at me or does she pretend she's generalising?

OMG You're a Chelsea glory hunter aren't you?
Been to the youth FA cup final tonight - WE WON 3-1, Absolutely cracking match - much closer than the scorline suggests (though we had to score for you), marred only by one of your lads getting a bit rash on the 90' mark - don't know if he broke our lads ankle but it looked nasty.
Well Done Blue Boys!!!
