Speeding denuncia for hire car

Speeding denuncia for hire car
About 4 months after we hired a car in Spain, I received a denuncia for speeding, sent to my UK address (presumably obtained via the hire company). Has anyone else had this and does anyone know what the consequences of not paying it would be? Thanks in advance for any help/advice

This happened to a friend of ours and they faxed a copy to us. We had to pay it at either a post office or Santander bank. Just make sure the post office is on computer as our village one wasn't and we wasted a couple of hours before going to a bank.
