Does anyone know how long you have to pay into the social security system in order to get life long healthcare?
Or does one only receive healthcare whilst paying social security?
Example: Make payments for say 5 years then stop but recurve life long health cover??

perhaps "afiliacion" means that you are registered, but it stops after the last payment like i thought? but you are still "on the system" etc? like a N.I number in the UK is for life?

Amongst others, the following will have the right to the Social Security health care benefits:
- Spanish citizens, nationals of European Union member states, the European Economic Area or Switzerland who are resident in Spain, or foreigners with current authorisation to reside in Spain.
